Aakash Nihalani's Geometric Forms on the Street

Brooklyn-based street artist Aakash Nihalani uses brightly colored tape to create geometric pieces of art. Utilizing fluorescent colors and basic forms, Aakash Nihalani only adds, but never changes the space since the nature of the material causes no damage to the built environment. Nihalani uses bright, bold lines at the forefront of all of his art as a means of visually creating 3D images on two-dimensional surfaces. The repetition of isometric squares and rectangles becomes visually pleasing to the eye, conveying complexities such as movement and space by something so simple as the placement of a line.
