Airborne Architecture Series by Laurent Chéhère

Award winning French photographer born in 1972 in Paris, Laurent Chéhère beautifully lifts the viewer into the stratosphere with these mesmerizing works of photo manipulation from his “Flying Houses” series. five, never-before-exhibited images from the series are presented by muriel guépin, NY from now until february 22, 2015, each depicting a dreamlike world of airborne architecture. the whimsical collection which marry digital manipulation with analog photography sees buildings, homes, tents and trailers removed from their usual urban and suburban backgrounds and float in the air like weightless balloons. Each image is a composite of up to a dozen real buildings, homes, trailers and tents that Chéhère has photographed in similar lighting conditions, and composition using Photoshop.
