American artist and photographer Erik Madigan Heck has created image series like vector art. These shots of Junya Watanabe’s Fall 2015 collection are actually all photography, but edited to be flat and one dimensional to complement the graphic nature of the collection. The collection features sculptural, origami-like shapes, whether it’s in a helmet-inspired headpiece or intricate, faceted textured skirts. To truly be able to highlight the architectural-like, full blown nature of the collection, Erik photographed and created dye transfer prints to “make the images look like paper cutouts.”
