Gorgeous Moscow Subway Stations by David Burdeny

Canadian photographer David Burdeny is the first photographer ever to access to Russian subway’s tunnels after hours, when nobody invades the place. These stations, similar to palaces and churches, classical and modern at once, are from the 30’s and have been described as the most extravagant architectural projects of the Staline’s era. The concepts “svet” (light) and “sveltloe budushchee” (a bright future) have inspired the building of these stations. (via fubiz)
